When a recent client came home from a nursing home rehab program, he was confident that he and his wife could still live in their home...with just a little bit of help.

Cooking, bathing, & getting around the house was not an issue, but they were not longer able to drive. Cleaning, along with other homemaking duties, would be difficult. They needed help with daily living activities to continue living in the safety and comfort of their home of 40 years.

Right At Home was there to help with caring and compassionate people. Having been gone from their home for over a month, the food supply was gone and the house needed a good cleaning. Within a day, the Caregiver had the pantry stocked, medications picked up, and the home cleaned and ready for the client to come home.

Says the client, "When we got home, there was not food in the house and we needed to find a doctor that could assist us with our needs. Right At Home helped us with all this. They helped locate a doctor that made house calls. They also helped clean up the house and get rid of tripping hazards that might have caused either Nancy or me to go back into the Nursing Home.

Right at Home has also done many other things to help us. They found us an amplified phone that I can actually hear with and found us someone to install a wireless door bell so I can tell when someone is at the door. They also helped us get a personal alarm system in case we needed help when someone is at the door. They also helped us get a personal alarm system in case we needed help when they were not here and helped us write a letter to our apartment manager to get some repairs done.

Right at Home is passionate about helping their clients and providing the best Caregivers available. We were even allowed to interview the person before she came to be sure that she was right for us and our situation. Sandy has been helping us for several weeks and really cares about our safety and comfort.

Since we began nearly 2 years ago, our passion to help the elderly and physically challenged adults has afforded many challenges. And yet, the unequalled rewards of truly being able to help someone in need have been overwhelming.
